About the Journal

The Journal of Experience-Related Neuroplasticity is an interdisciplinary, open-access journal publishing research on how experience shapes the brain, cognition, behavior, learning, health, and adaptation across the lifespan.›

JERN is currently under development

The Journal of Experience-Related Neuroplasticity website is currently being prepared for launch. Journal policies, author guidelines, submission information, and editorial details will be added before submissions formally open.

One scientific problem spans many disciplines.

Research on language, education, music, exercise, occupation, environment, intervention, rehabilitation, and other sustained experiences is distributed across traditionally separate disciplines. JERN provides a dedicated scholarly forum for work that explains how these experiences shape the brain and behavior—and why their effects vary across individuals, contexts, and the lifespan.
